STEPMONSTERS ATTACK NICKELODEON
aAp is currently producing a short pilot for the animated series, STEPMONSTERS, for Nickelodeon Australia. Created by Kate Rothschild, “The Surprise” is written by T.C. Jester and directed by Stephen Grant and TJ Beeson with sound by Rich Mahony. Convinced their StepMother is really a StepMonster planning a dreadful surprise, Henry and Gretta desperately try to stop her and reveal her true identity. But who are the real monsters?!! “The Surprise” is scheduled to air on Nick Au in 2009.

T.C. JESTER HARD AT WORK ON BOOK II
T.C. Jester is currently writing Book II in the EMAG OF EFIL series.  "Way of the Foole" continues Fred and Sofee's adventures as they try to master the Mega Game by learning the strategy of the Temple of the Cosmic Joke and making Complete Fooles of themselves.  "This book will be more outrageous than the first," promises T.C. Jester. "The goal is take readers to the next level of absurdity."  An early reader of "Way of the Foole" raved: "The book offers satire so biting it leaves teeth marks."

aAp’s PLAY TO HEAL INITIATIVE A HUGE SUCCESS

In March 2009, aAp organized a massive toy drive in Western Australia to help the children affected by the bush fires in Victoria.  In 8 days, 400 boxes of toys were collected and delivered to the children who had lost everything with another 2 tonnes of toys delivered by  St Vincent de Paul Society. The success of our Play to Heal initiative was due to the over-whelming generosity of the people of WA, Austereo, Mosman Video, East Butler Primary School, our volunteers, Thrifty, TOLL Express, and COPE Sensitive Freight.

EMAG OF EFIL SHORTLISTED FOR TWO IPPYS
Book I in the EMAG OF EFIL series was shortlisted for IPPY awards in the Young Adult and Sci-Fi Fantasy categories.  aAp was pleased to see T.C. Jester’s work recognized and send our hearty congratulations to the winners.

COULD THE EMAG OF EFIL FILM BE COMING SOON?
T.C. Jessep has completed the screenplay for EMAG OF EFIL based on Book I of her series.  This outrageous adaptation manages to reflect the funny, twisted and surreal elements of the book while taking it in visually exciting new directions.

EMAG OF EFIL BOOK PUBLISHED
artistsAWAKE is thrilled to announce that on April 1, 2008, EMAG OF EFIL   by T.C. Jester was officially released.  The book is currently available online with offline distribution soon to follow.   “It's a ridiculous story about the massive Game we're all playing and how it relates to the Cosmic Joke,” says writer T.C. Jester.  “I based it on the Temple of the Cosmic Joke’s Great Book of Foolishness.”  The book is described as Alice and Harry Potter find the Hitchhiker’s Guide inside the Matrix and is receiving a strong response from young adults and adults.   EMAG OF EFIL  is illustrated by artist/animator, T.J. Beeson, with design and layout by artist/animators, Jen Scheerer and Arin LoPrete.  T.C. is planning a five book series and is currently working on Book II.

The EMAG OF EFIL project has added an exciting new partner.   Although the identity of this award-winning group must remain anonymous, we can reveal that they are brilliant creatives.  aAp is thrilled to have this talented bunch join the team and look forward to unleashing our combined insanity.

T.C. JESTER PULLS OUT OF BOOK TOUR

We regret to inform her fans that T.C. has decided not to take part in a tour to promote the publishing of Book I of the EMAG OF EFIL series.  “I want this to be about the work and not about me,” said T.C.  “I prefer to devote my time to writing Book II and plotting creative subversion.  Plus, I’m really not that interesting.”

REPORT ON DIGITAL MEDIA AND ARTS IN WA RELEASED
In November 2007, aAp completed a three-month consultancy for the Western Australian Government to help the State’s creative industries better leverage the potential of digital media and cross-platform development.  Our report  Digital Media and Arts in Western Australia: Mining creative resources and seizing opportunities was released in April 2008.
